Objectives and Vision

The journal of Studies in Comparative Religion and Mysticism (SCRM) is an open-access peer-reviewed semiannual journal in Persian (with English abstracts and bibliographies) devoted to the fields of mysticism, theology, religion, inter-religious relations, philosophy of religion, history of religions, science and religion, and religious experience, religious ethics, and more published by the University of Sistan and Baluchestan. It is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the publication of original articles, and review articles, considering the research ethics and academic rules and regulations.

    The journal of Studies in Comparative Religion and Mysticism (SCRM) publishes scholarly research on mysticism, theology, religion, inter-religious relations, philosophy of religion, history of world religions, science and religion, religious experience, religious ethics, and more. This journal provides a forum for dialogue between Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Confucian, Hindu, and other religious traditions on a wide variety of religious issues. The journal of Studies in Comparative Religion and Mysticism (SCRM) is ready to accept articles in the fields of mystical literature and Sufism, history of religions, theology, and its approaches, comparative studies of religions and mysticism, religion and ethics, religion and myth, religion and environment, religion, and development. Articles should be problem-oriented and have innovative research results. The aim of the journal is to expose the new findings of researchers in the fields of mysticism, religions, and theology to its audience so that micro-research in the process of critique and evaluation of the scientific community can be synergized and provide a suitable platform for the evolution of humanities.

    The aim of publishing the journal of Studies in Comparative Religion and Mysticism (SCRM) is to help the excellence of knowledge and to spread the results of original research in the field of religions and mysticism in the country and abroad, especially in universities. Hence any article in one of the fields of history of religions, mystical literature and Sufism, theology and its approaches, comparative studies of religions and mysticism, religion and ethics, religion and myth, religion and environment, religion and development, Interfaith dialogue, written and of scientific value, is accepted for consideration for possible publication.

  • Establishing connections between Iranian and international specialists and researchers.
  • Identifying and introducing scholarly perspectives, theories, inventions, innovations, and scientific creativity at both national and international levels

Journal Vision:

The journal seeks to expand the knowledge base of studies related to religions, mysticism, and mythology by publishing the latest research findings, analyzing new theories, and introducing recent perspectives and published studies in relevant fields. It expects scholars and researchers—both domestic and international—who specialize in the journal’s scope to submit their fundamental research findings or analytical and applied discoveries from field studies. By publishing these works, the journal aims to foster scientific exchange, contribute to the advancement of knowledge, and facilitate the application of these findings by academics and professionals.
