Abstract

Oruj (narratives of otherworldly journeys)"; In the mythological literature of the East and the West, the relationship between man and the gods is an inseparable part of the narrative culture, and it is a great example of communication with the unseen. In Abrahamic religions, there are many examples of ascension. The purpose of the following article is to find out the relationship between the views of early Islamic Muslims on the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) and other famous examples of Ascension in the pre-Qur'anic period. For this purpose, the opinions of the Arab Muslims in the first two centuries of the Hijri around the ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) have been analyzed by analytical-descriptive method and with a historical approach. The hypothesis is that with the passage of time, the Muslim view of the ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) has become less distant from the view of believers in other instances of ascension. The results confirm this hypothesis along with the crystallization of the substantive roots of Ascension during the first two centuries of Hijri in the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) and the proximity of the Ascension of the Prophet (PBUH) to the lineage of Ascension in Abrahamic religions (although there are differences in the path taken and there are other propositions), in addition to the interaction of Muslims with the book owners, the role of archetypes and collective unconscious values of the Arabs was considered to be effective in the reason for this result.
