Divine communion is highly significant in two traditions of Islamic and Christian mysticism. In other words, the ultimate spiritual path is divine communion. This issue has had many manifestations in the mystical opinions of Rabia Adavieh and Teresa Avilai. The current study was conducted to investigate the mystical views of Rabia Adaviyeh about spiritual death and marriage in the thought of Teresa Avilai. In the sayings of Rabia Adawiyah, three types of annihilation of attributes, verbs, and essence can be seen, which are the introduction to the divine communion. Teresa Avilai also spoke about the seven stages of the spiritual journey, and the seventh stage is the spiritual marriage or divine union. The results of this research indicate that both characters see the seeker's romantic relationship with God as the reason for achieving divine communion. God's connection is made with voluntary death, which is the result of the seeker's death from human traits, actions, and nature, and the seeker lives in God's connection after rebirth. According to Rabia and Teresa, the seeker submits thoroughly to God's will and will, and God's connection also takes place with God's will and grace. Those who seek God in divine communion enjoy the view of unity; in addition, in the light of this view of unity, they live in subsistence with God and divine marriage.
